Joan of Arc

I've been doing the famous Joan of Arc 3d modeling tutorial.
the original is in french but there is a translation
I've spent about 2 days doing it so far, and I've built a body, a head and an ear and stuck them all together. The body is a bit simple as it gets covered up with clothes etc.

here are some pictures. As you can see theres still a bit of tweaking to do... (note the quality lighting setup)

Joan of Arc - Update

Ok here's where we are now. I've built all the armoured plates and made some hair. I've started not doing things exactly the same as the tutorial design, kind of to save time, but also to make it more interesting.
I skipped a bit of plating on the knees and used my own wiggly line design on the breast plate.
I also completely ignored the hair section of the tutorial and built my own using my own techniques, it's a lot shorter but in the same sort of style.
Most important next steps are the gloves and the extra bits of clothing that will join up the armour plating.
Then the modeling is done and its on to texturing and skinning with a bone structure, yay. I just need to remember not to spend to much time on it :-)

sorry wide picture...

(No hands, no pants. It's a cruel world)

Joan of Arc - Update 2

Done clothes and hands now. Skipped a few more things like a half skirt thing and an extension to the belt. I'm not going to make the sword either.
I've dumped the textures ready for the proper textures to be applied.
